This Privacy Policy explains what information SimpleRoid (the app and the simpleroid.app website) collects, how it is used and who it is shared with. By using SimpleRoid, you agree to what is described here.
1. Your photos
The photos you pick from your gallery or take with the camera are edited on your own device. We do not upload your photos to our servers and we do not store them. They only leave your device when you choose to save them to your gallery or share them with another app.
For this, the app asks for access to your camera and photos. You can deny or withdraw these permissions at any time in your device settings.
2. Information we collect
We do not ask for an account, name, email or phone number to use the app. We collect:
Usage data: the features you use, the screens you visit and actions such as saving or sharing a photo, along with technical information about the device (model, operating system, language, app version and approximate country) and an identifier of the app on that device.
Crash reports: when the app crashes, a technical report of the error and the device.
Purchases: your subscription status and purchase history, tied to an anonymous identifier. Payment is made through the App Store or Google Play; we do not receive your card details.
Advertising identifier: the device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iPhone, advertising ID on Android), only when allowed. On iPhone, only with your permission in the tracking prompt.
Survey answers: when you answer a survey in the app (for example, whether you like the new interface), we keep your rating with the app version, operating system, language and whether you are a subscriber, with nothing that identifies you.
Spotify codes: when you create a Spotify code, the app fetches the code image from Spotify's server, sending only the song or playlist identifier from the link and the chosen colors. As with any internet request, Spotify also receives the device's IP address.
3. How we use information
We use information to make the app work and unlock your subscription features; understand how the app is used and improve it; fix errors; adjust settings and features without an update; and measure the results of our ads, that is, which ads led to installs and subscriptions.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Third-party services
We use the services below, which process data on our behalf or under their own privacy policies:
Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config and Firestore): usage statistics, crash reports, app configuration and survey answers. Firebase privacy.
RevenueCat: manages subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat privacy.
Meta (Facebook): measures how well our ads work, with app events (such as the install and starting a subscription) and, when allowed, the advertising identifier. RevenueCat also sends Meta subscription events, such as starting a trial, conversion and renewals. Meta privacy.
Apple App Store and Google Play: process subscription payments.
Spotify: generates the Spotify code images. Spotify privacy.
These services may process data outside your country, including in the United States. We may also share information when required by law.
5. Website
On the simpleroid.app website we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is visited, for example, how many people tap the store links. It only turns on if you accept analytics cookies in the site's notice; if you decline, no analytics cookie is set. Your browser keeps your choice and the site theme (light or dark). Google privacy.
6. Your choices
On iPhone, you can allow or deny tracking in the app's prompt or in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the device's Google settings. Camera and photo permissions can be managed in your device settings. Uninstalling the app stops all collection by it.
7. Your rights
Under applicable law, such as the LGPD in Brazil and the GDPR in the European Union, you may ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to processing or withdraw consent. Since we do not ask for an account, in most cases we cannot link data to you; to help, include what you can when you contact us, such as a purchase receipt. Write to pedro.cabral@simpleroid.app.
8. Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. We take reasonable measures to protect it, but no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.
9. Children
SimpleRoid is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe this has happened, contact us so we can delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last update.
